Welcome to my new blog, The Goal Girl.
I am so excited to share with you everything I have learned over the years about goals and reaching them. I truly believe that if there is something you really want, with simple goals and a little determination, you can get it.
A little about me before we get started. My name is Jamie. I am a single mother of two, a 14-year-old beautiful girl and a 6-year-old precocious autistic boy. I am The Goal Girl.
I have always been a goal setter. It is part of my Type A personality. However, it was not until about 5 years ago when I got divorced, that I started to realize how important those goals would become. Not just big goals, but little goals, daily goals, and little steps. It was those little goals and little steps that turned into big steps. In fact, they changed my life.
Setting goals isn’t about being perfect and it isn’t even about meeting every single one. Sometimes goals change, they morph, they become something else because the truth is that as we accomplish things, we become something else.
It is my goal (one of many) that here, I can share tips, advice, reviews, interviews and more that will help others to set goals and reach them.
Whether you love to set goals, hate to set goals, have no idea how to set a goal, or set them but never seem to find a way to reach them, I want us to learn and grow together.
I look forward to what is to come. Little goals, big goals and beyond!

I have such a hard time knowing where to start when setting a goal… it’s overwhelming! And before I know it, the thought of the goal has come and gone.
I totally understand! Setting a big goal is great, but the best way to reach a big goal is to break it down into many little goals. If you can even do one little thing per day or week to reach your goal, you are well on your way! Also keeping your goals posted somewhere you see them every single day is always helpful. This keeps you from losing sight of what you are working towards.
